Our Native spiritual ways is understood by me and I am content with that. I am content with my beliefs. And I find them universal when I study other religions. ❤

I remember that the eastern door was important for ceremony. Directions are very important. Tobacco fires and the Eastern door.

If you have a sacred fire as a woman it could be a private event. But sacred fires are used in ceremony that I was in attendance. ❤

At the moment: tiger, cute doggy and a house cat, and Wednesday. I have a little story: In the beginning of my relationship with my girlfriend I was kind of paranoid and afraid of her, and thought she was a tiger that was after me, through some experiences. It turns out she is a tiger, chinese zodiac wise. Later we grew more to each other and we were ourselves more and more, and then I saw a vision in my eyes of two tigers having fun, playing with each other in the water. Those were us.

If I can see a shapeshifter's true form what does it mean? I just witnessed a man turn into a deer while walking through the woods, am I becoming a shapeshifter myself? I would love to shed my human form and just go wild in my animal form, I am part Blackfoot and I'm already an animal whisperer by nature.

I have experienced this & it was shocking to me I'm mixed blood. Lakota) Aniyunwiah & Coast Salish, I am also mixed black & Japanese. I went to a conference where I was under the impression I was accepted by other indigenous people. I was wrong. I was kept out of meetings. Spit on,cursed at. I generally understand that this government set standards of who gets to claim indigenous blood. Sadly our own relations discriminate. I will not dishonor my ancestors by being bitter Wado for speaking on this

I had always wondered if there was AmerIndian in my family tree. My dad was adopted & raised as an American British, Irish, & German White - & could pass for White, except I thought his eyes were a bit Asian or perhaps AmerIndian; & he & I both could tan quickly & well if/when sufficiently exposed (he preferred working graveyard shifts so he rarely got much sunlight - & he had surgery on his eyes to improve his peripheral vision for police work); however, my mom who was of White, or mostly White ancestry insisted that my dad looked German (period). Both of my now late parents refused to DNA test as did my now late maternal aunt & my sister; so, after my parents passed away I started taking DNA tests. The first 3 companies that I tried were AncestryDNA, MyHeritageDNA, & FamilyTreeDNA. And I also tried one other company. While I'm still awaiting the results of FamilyTreeDNA's complete mtDNA & Big Y-DNA tests, their recent ancestry results for me already arrived, & none of these first 3 companies' recent ancestry reports pointed to either Asian or AmerIndian ancestry, so I figured I had been wrong about my dad's eyes (they all found beau-coup European area results, as expected); however, the fourth company I tried, CRI Genetics did both a Recent Ancestry Analysis & an Advanced Ancestry Analysis of my DNA & they found various Asian, AmerIndian, & African in my distant past & Southern Asian in my more recent past as well (so, me & my mom were both a bit right: dad was German + much more, unless these other ethnicities were coming from my rather pale-skinned mom, which I doubt, but can't know for sure). As far as "3.5% AdMix American" ancient results go, the ethnicities/countries & tribes/peoples listed by CRI Genetics for ancient ancestry are: 1.2% COLUMBIAN, incl: VENEZUELA, PANAMA & ECUADOR... • MESTIZO • WAYUU • PÁEZ • PASTO • EMBERÁ • ZENÚ [18 generations back: 95% accurate] [15 generations back: 90% accurate] [11 generations back: 95% accurate] 1% PERUVIAN, incl: ECUADOR (again), BOLIVIA, ARGENTINA & CHILE... • MESTIZO (again) • QUECHUA • AYMARA • INCA 0.8% PUERTO RICAN... • TAINO [12 generations back: 95% accurate] [10 generations back: 99% accurate] 0.5% MEXICAN, incl: GUATEMALA... • MESTIZO (yet again) • NAHUA • AZTEC • MAYA • ZAPOTEC • MIXTEC • OTOMI • TOTONAC • KAQCHIKEL • MAM 1.9% ancient East Asian results are: 0.9% CHINESE DAI, incl: CHINA, TAIWAN, THAILAND, LAOS, MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE... • AKHA • YI [73 generations back: 99% accurate] [21 generations back: 95% accurate] 0.6% SOUTHERN HAN CHINESE, incl: CHINA (again), XINJIANG, TAIWAN (again), SINGAPORE (again), MALAYSIA (again), HONG KONG, MACAU, THAILAND (again), LAOS (again) & CAMBODIA... • KHMER • TIBET 0.4% JAPANESE, incl: JAPAN, KOREA, TAIWAN (yet again), RUSSIA, INDONESIA & PAPUA NEW GUINEA [11 generations back: 95% accurate] 4.3% ancient South Asian results are: GUJARATI INDIAN (of INDIA) [19 generations back: 80% accurate] [12 generations back: 95% accurate] BENGALI, incl: BANGLADESH, INDIA (again), PAKISTAN, SAUDI ARABIA, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, QATAR, KUWAIT & BAHRAIN PUNJABI, incl: PAKISTAN (again) & INDIA (yet again) [13 generations back: 80% accurate] TAMIL,* incl: SRI LANKA,* INDIA (again still), MALAYSIA (yet again) & SINGAPORE (yet again) * = In Recent Ancestry I have 5.8% SRI LANKAN TAMIL. And also in my ancient ancestry results I have 0.1% LUHYA of KENYA, incl: KENYA, TANZANIA, UGANDA & SUDAN. All other (90%) Ancient results & (94.2%) Recent results are EUROPEAN, incl: Northern, NW, BRITISH ISLES, & SPAIN/IBERIA** (consisting of many countries I won't list here now to save space). O.2% of my Ancient Ethnicities were undetermined (also, in some cases CRI Gentics determined how many generations back an ethnicity entered into my tree on the ancient results & gave their statistically determined accuracy of the result which I've placed in [brackets]). ** = FamilyTreeDNA also listed Spain while AncestryDNA had listed North Africa (incl: Canary Islands) instead, & MyHeritage mentioned Greek & Southern Italian instead. Note: North Africa, Greece, Italy & Spain all have hundreds of years of shared history in trading, invasions, & territorial occupations (so each of their different guesstimations made sense). Percentage guesstimates also varied between companies & company updates (but such is the least important thing among the results).

The reality is these terms are dying out as humans are becoming increasingly more racially homogenous. Very few people are just one thing and there’s nothing wrong with stepping outside of that racial box and embracing different cultures that you embody. I think with the advent of social media people are struggling to find an identity. So they want to latch onto these terms to make themselves feel unique. Which is pretty sad.

As a Ojibwa Native American I do not take any offense to this movie. It is absolutely amazing as a little girl to see someone like me. I am not offended whatsoever I honestly think there should be a ride or something in the parks. As long people arnt Fing around and being stupid and making fun of it. If a little girl wants to dress up as a Native American princess that is badass. Me personally growing up got bullied for being native. But when the movie came out I diddnt care anymore because I thought she was the most beautiful princess there was. This is my opinion on the matter.

Thanks, what I am trying to do is what I call using Karma against itself. I have been trying to kill sage plants out of my garden for 7 years. I have now decided to use them instead because if I put it to good use, it will become useful. Therefore, karma will dictate that it will no longer thrive on neglect and my animosity. I've used this ironic energy successfully with purslane. I had a ton in my yard also but the moment I decided to eat and cultivate it, yes a weed, it no longer thrived in subsequent years.

Yeah, I'm sure the colonizers wanted to connect to us too...when they gave us infected blankets. There are other herbs you can use, white sage burning is appropriation....not appreciation! However, there is a misconception that sage cleanses... it doesn't. It calls the spirits in...and if you've already got negative spirits attached to you and your space...no good spirits can enter. Palo Santo wood is the cleanser....lavender, rosemary, mugwort, juniper are what you want to use.

There are no wheels in Native culture so I'm sure they didn't call it that. The solar cross/squared circle is an abstract concept and I find it hard to believe that Natives originated the "only 4 races/seasons/etc." philosophy when the Native languages were so rich and descriptive. A bit of googlin' reveals that the "medicine wheel" was invented in 1972 by a white man posing as indigenous, obviously an occult initiate.

I live in Toronto and there’s a celebration at the Harbourfront Centre so I’ll be there to enjoy! Another thing about your info is that it’s also the Summer solstice time, which was significant for our Indigenous tribes. There was great importance for the beginnings of new life, after the spring season things are growing, new life is blooming whether nature or animals etc. My understanding is that the Moon plays an important role with the Sun during the solstice. My words fail me right now but ceremony was one of the things, after Spring prep people were now prepared to go into different ceremonies for prayer. There’s much more but this is what I remember.

I'm so sorry to hear about your negative experience when trying to participate. 😔 Other Nations or Tribes may tend to gate-keep the culture due to generational trauma. But not everyone feels the same and there are Tribes that are more welcoming than others. I hope this doesn't discourage you in connecting with the Indigenous culture and may you find a Nation or Tribe that welcomes non-Indigenous allies. 🙏🏽🧡
